Happy Lil' Kitten

Ahem.
5 days into my sickness and I had to leave the house. Couldn't resist the temptation to spread my germs to everyone else. Plus, it was the weekend ! What better time than that :) I decided to head to town where maximum damage could be done ! Muahahaha.

So, like I said, on the weekend, I ventured into Cotton On @ 313 to get their shorts as there was a promotion; 3 items for $30 ! But by the time I got there, the promotion had ended :( So I got pissed off, ~~sneezed and coughed on as many items in Cotton On as I could,~~ and decided to go on a rampage at the Scape Flea Market. Sadly, my wallet was the one who suffered the most.

Will do a post on the stuff I got soon cause I threw all the clothes in the wash. As for the stuff that didn't need to be thrown in the wash...

I guess it is true to a certain extend then ? I'm all for it if you're gunna jack off someone's design and sell it at a fraction of the price ala Robin Hood... but if you're gunna do that and just sell it at yet another exuberant price... what's the point ?! Morning, world !

I'm lounging (and blogging) in my newly acquired Mademoiselle Satin Gown from Cotton On Asia which now offers free shipping !

The gown is on sale btw. Loving it !

Nina, you are evil for telling me bout the free shipping. I need to stop buying stuff online. Can't afford to splurge so much ! Gah.

If not for online shopping, I think I'll be a whole lot richer... I don't normally shop a lot (or at least not recently XD) cause I ~~hate~~ dislike ~~people~~ crowds thus I try to avoid crowded places like shopping malls. It acts like a deterrent and is a very good way to regulate my spending. Haha.

But with online shopping... oh god, help me...
You get a wider variety of clothes or whatever thingamajig, without the need to feel like cattle and/or fight your way through hordes of ~~disgusting~~ people, all in the comfort of your own home. Which means that you can even be butt naked when you shop ! Or be like me, pretending to be all fancy in a satin gown, bought online of course ! Muahaha. I don't know why you would want the butt naked part but doesn't it all already sounds so immensely pleasurable ?

Meh

Just went to the 3rd funeral I've been to in the span of 12 months. It's depressing...

I realise that I tend to focus all my energy on niggly lil things while shoving the real problem deep into a pit of, I would think, utter chaos, after the years of me doing that. I find it much easier to deal with anger and aggression as opposed to sorrow or sadness. Or is aggression how I show my sorrow ? Haha. I don't know. All I know is that I'm one twisted sister :)

And that my emotions aren't being handled all too well right now. Le Sigh.

This made me laugh though:

Apparently, I dress like I'm going to a funeral everyday. Lol.

Spiked Hobo Goodness

Ordered a pack of spike studs from aliexpress.com eons ago cause it was so cheap and decided I shall stud everything and anything I own ! But shipping took almost a month and by the time it had arrived, all the excitement and determination I had to be all productive had waned. You would think that maybe the time it took to get here would heighten my anticipation but no. All that waiting only drained my creative juices and foiled my plans. GAH !

So anyways... fast forward a few months of the studs just idling away, collecting dust and you have this:

Spillage all over the floor from trying to get it open. Picture taken after I had painstakingly picked them up from all over my room; under my bed, my vanity etc. My sister says that it's like watching an ape trying to do stuff. I obviously disagree. I blame it on the ~~(not really)~~ lousy packaging. :D

I've been dying for a spiked drawstring hobo bag, in black of course, but can't seem to find it anywhere despite the current trend of studded everything which is sooooo annoying. I don't like it when stuff I like is in trend. It means that everywhere you turn, some idiot is looking like you. But it has it's perks I guess... it's easier to find the stuff I like now and I don't have to diy everything. (Reminder to self: Look on the bright side, m'dear, LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE !!!) Grr...

Anyways. Like I said... studded bags, shoes, clothes, EVERYTHING is abundant. However, the spiked bags I've seen are all very structured. Woohoo, let's toughen the look of a already tough looking bag by adding studs. Awesome ! Not. Tres boring and unimaginative. I prefer something different. Juxtaposing different elements, mixing softer looks with harder ones... like adding spikes to a slouchy soft drawstring hobo bag for example :D And since it can't be found, it is time for some DIY !

There you go ! Lol.

I added just 6 spikes and realised that it made the bag look untidy and if I add more it'd probably just look like a big mess. And not the good kind. So I stopped. I think it's cause there's already quite a bit going on with all the gold accents. And especially since the spikes are silver, it clashes with the gold and further accentuates the messiness. Maybe if I had gold spikes ? Maybe it could look like a hot mess then...

But noooooooooo !
I want it in silver ! And I'm not budging. I know what I want and it has to be perfect.

I NEED TO GET A NEW BAG !!! (WITH NO GOLD ON IT WHATSOEVER !!!!!!!) Then I can stud it with spiiiikes. Then I can haz spiked slouchy hobo goodness !

And it's been ages since my last OOTD post...

But picture this, alright ?

Imagine you take so much time getting ready and instead of heading to wherever you're headed, you stop to take pictures. And because your tripod broke, you hafta bother someone to take pictures for you and can only do it when said someone is available. And however hard it is to take pictures by yourself, it is 10 times harder doing it with someone else who isn't a professional. ( +10 hard points if you are awkward with poses, -20 if you're a supermodel.) And imagine that you happen to be very particular about the pictures and have a clear mental image of what you want so you hafta try to direct the person and take like 266145x73 pictures before you get a few acceptable shots. And seeing as how the lighting for whatever reason is shit indoors, you hafta do it outside and by the time the whole hoopla is done, you would have smudged your makeup to no end and flooded your armpits with sweat due to the hot and humid weather of this little red dot and thus proceed to whatever location all smelly and dishevelled. (Which is really retarded cause it defeats the whole purpose of getting ready in the first place !!)

-takes a deep breath-

Then after you get home from a fun time and you're all tired and ready to relax and unwind with maybe a nice long bubble bath complete wiith scented candles or snuggling under the covers to the TV... NOOOOOOOOOOOO !! CANNOT !! Must blog. Must sit in front of a blinding computer screen and upload pictures, then edit pictures then post them said pictures and think of witty dialogue to accompany it.

-takes an even deeper breath-

WHAT BULLSHIT !!!

I wanna go out looking and smelling good without having to stop for pictures in between then go home, bathe and lie on my very comfy bed and bask in the success of yet another awesome day in my mega awesome life. ~~(Not really.)~~

God !

Now you see the predicament that I'm in !?

Really though...

If you think about it, the problem doesn't lie with me. The problem lies with ALL YOU NARCISSISTIC, SELF AGGRANDIZING, ATTENTION SEEKING SHOW OFFS who take like a bazillion pictures of everything; clothes, makeup, possessions, FACE, whatever. And post it ad nauseam, online, everyday to feed your ego. Thus causing me to look bad with my lack of activity...

No !! It will happen no more !!

I will join you guys in your never ending quest for narcissistic supply !!

Why is she so hot ?!?!?!

But nope, not gunna jump on the bandwagon and say how incredibly artistic or creative it is or how talented she is for directing it. Nope. Not convinced yet.

I mean, let's call a spade a spade and accept that the video, albeit beautiful, is basically a bunch of indie kids, who all own a tumblr, prancing about in weird attire, dancing weirdly and just acting weird in general to seem all cool and different... or rather, make Grimes seem all cool and different ?

Plus, Brooke Candy stood out waaay more then Grimes (or anyone else for that matter) and it was sposed to be Grimes's video. Isn't it an epic fail when you're supposed to be the main star but you're overshadowed by your supporting actor or whatever? Yeah... so... moving on !

Brooke Candy who calls herself the hoodrat Drew Barrymore was born in Oxnad, California but grew up in Oak Park, California, an upper middle class suburb of Los Angeles. Her father worked behind the scenes for Hustler magazine to which she attributes her over sexualized style.

Magenta Moments

For those of you who haven't realise from the OOTD pictures (or maybe you just can't give a hairy rat's ass), I caved in and dyed my hair again ! But since I

1. refuse to bleach my waaaaaaay overgrown black roots and
2. the rest of it is still pretty red and can't be striped without significant damage and/or covered up with anything but a darker shade as the pigments are too strong and i absolutely refuse to go darker,

the change isn't drastic. Pretty much just a freshening up... or rather a slight change of colour. Definately not enough to get me feeling all over the moon 'bout it but it shall suffice... for now.

And voila...

Shall elaborate more on it when I get a better, non crappy taken from iphone picture. Till then...

PS: Don't think the post is aptly named though cause my hair isn't exactly magenta but oh wells... haha.
